A Word from Jeremy, Director of SafeGard Mechanical Services
Welcome, I’m Jeremy Garden, Director of SafeGard Mechanical Services. Since founding the company in July 2021, my vision has been simple: to build a mechanical services business grounded in safety, integrity, and genuine care for people.
SafeGard was born out of a passion for the mining and mechanical trades. We specialise in supporting drilling operations and maintaining heavy machinery in some of the most rugged environments across Queensland and Western Australia. Our team of drill fitters and diesel mechanics are not just technically capable — they’re driven, resilient, and love the challenges their work brings.

About Jeremy Garden
With over 15 years in the mining and mechanical industry, Jeremy Garden is well-known as a hands-on leader and true industry guru. Before founding SafeGard Mechanical Services, Jeremy worked as a Field Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Manager with several major drilling companies, gaining extensive experience across site operations and team management.
Jeremy’s energy and motivation are contagious — he sets the pace and inspires those around him to perform at their best. Known for his outgoing nature and positive attitude, he leads by example and values building strong morale across the team.
Outside of work, Jeremy is passionate about the outdoors, camping, spearfishing and spending time with his wife and three kids. His approach to safety is grounded in personal awareness and accountability. His message to the team is simple but powerful:
“Always remember who you’re really working for and who’s most important to you. When you follow procedures and wear your PPE, you’re doing it to make sure you get home safely to them.”
